Technology Grant for E-readers and Tablets Awarded


Geraldine Hartford Waushara County Fund and the Community Foundation of Central Wisconsin Grant AwardThe Wautoma Public Library received a technology update grant to purchase  E-readers and tablets for use by the library patrons.  The new devices wil be loaded with educational and entertaining apps as well as e-books. Mark your calendar and sign-up for one or more of these educational and fun, free workshops at the Wautoma Library:

Family Movie, Sat. November 7th at 12:30pm.  Due to advertising restrictions the title cannot be named in this article but this new released dvd is by Disney studios and Pixar.  It is about a young girl who is led through life by fiver personified emotions as she and her parents move to a new city.  Popcorn and juice will be served.  Film will be projected on the meeting room wall for big-screen effect.

Grief during the Holidays, Tues. November 10th at 6pm:  Learn how to manage your grief during the holidays.  Learn new ways to cope and manage your stress.  Experts from St. Agnesian Health give you the help you need in a supportive, caring environment.  Please Sign-up.

Mug Cake Mixer, Thurs.  November 19th at 6pm:  Learn how to make delicious and quick treats in the microwave, then converse and play games.  Mug Cake recipes are a great idea for holiday gifts as well.  Sign up is required, call the Library at 920-787-2988.

Children's Holiday Fest: Sat. Nov 28th at 9:30-11am: After Breakfast with Santa at the WW2 museum and before the Cookie Walk join in the fun at the Wautoma Public Library with Crafts and Reindeer Games.

Fancy Flavorful Butter and Holiday Spiced Treats, Sat. Dec. 5th at 10am:  Learn how to make flavored butter along with other holiday spiced treats at this workshop lead by former Home Education Teacher Linda Welty.  Great gift ideas.  Sign up is required.

Entrepreneur Dos and Don'ts, Thurs. Dec 10, 5:45 pm:  If starting your own business is a dream of yours then please attend this free and informative workshop lead by Jean Cook, the Jobs and Business Development Coordinator at CAP services.  She will answer your questions on how to get started and how to be successful and will also present information on best practices.  She also will give you information on what resources are available to you in the county to keep your small business dream on track.  Sign up is encouraged.
