Learn the difference between direct planting and seed starting
Bring home a recycled seed planter
The series wraps up with a seed planting event.
Registered families will have the opportunity to plant direct sow seeds. Properly reading a seed package and the difference between direct planting and seed starting will be discussed. Families will be able to bring home at least one seeded planter made from a recycled milk jug and one recycled bottle watering can. The importance of recycling and environmental friendly seed starting supplies will be discussed, along with Wisconsin’s spring crops.
